At the 2024 Geographic Information Industry Conference, leaders from the Ministry of Natural Resources, academicians, and industry experts visited KQ GEO TECHNOLOGIES’s exhibition booth to offer guidance and engage in professional exchanges.

On the morning of August 28, the conference was officially opened in Kunming. The event featured the attendance of key figures including Wang Hao, Vice Governor of the Yunnan Provincial People’s Government, who delivered the welcome address; Liu Guohong, Vice Minister and Party Group Member of the Ministry of Natural Resources, who delivered a keynote speech; and Xu Guanhua, former Minister of Science and Technology and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, who participated virtually and shared his insights. Li Weisen, President of the China Geographic Information Industry Association, also delivered the opening speech. Several academicians and experts presented important conference documents and participated in commendation ceremonies. The event was attended by a large number of industry representatives, with Wang Zengning, Vice President and Secretary General of the China Geographic Information Industry Association, presiding over the opening ceremony.

The conference highlighted several major achievements, including the release of the “China Geographic Information Industry Development Report (2024)”, the announcement of the 2024 Geographic Information Science and Technology Progress Awards, and recognition of outstanding projects and organizations, such as the Geographic Information Industry Scientific and Technological Innovation Contribution Units. Additionally, the 2024 list of Top 100 Enterprises, Most Dynamic SMEs, and Most Promising Growth Enterprises was unveiled.
